What you may do with these pages

Read them, print them, link to them, and use them to teach. Quoting a passage with a link to the page it came from is fine and needs no permission. Republishing a whole lesson elsewhere, or presenting this course as your own work, is not: the figures in it are maintained against the page they sit on, and a copy stops being maintained the moment it is made.

This is education, and it is not advice

Everything here explains how something works. Nothing here is investment advice, a recommendation, a signal, a portfolio suggestion or a forecast, and nothing on the site should be read as a view on what you personally should do. Advice means knowing your circumstances and being licensed to speak to them, and this site is neither.

The figures are schematic on purpose

Worked examples use round numbers near a reference price so that the arithmetic can be followed by hand, and the diagrams are drawn to show a mechanism rather than to report a market. Spreads, swaps, commissions, margin requirements and minimum sizes differ between brokers, between account types and from one hour to the next. A number on this site is an illustration, never a quote: check your own broker's figures before they cost you anything.

Risk, plainly

Trading forex and CFDs carries a high risk of losing money, and most retail accounts lose. Leverage multiplies a loss exactly as it multiplies a gain, and a position can be closed against you faster than you can act. Nothing in this course makes that risk smaller; it only makes it legible.

No warranty, and the limit of our responsibility

The pages are provided as they are. We write them carefully, check the arithmetic and correct what is reported wrong, but we do not warrant that every page is free of error or fit for a purpose you have in mind, and we accept no liability for trading losses or for decisions taken after reading them. What we do accept is the duty to fix a mistake once it is known, and to date the page when we do.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to brokers, regulators and reference sources. Links to brokers are marked and may earn this site a commission. A link is not an endorsement, not a statement that a firm is suitable for you, and not a check that its terms are still what they were: beyond this site, the pages are theirs and so is the responsibility for them.
